  This police department is so stupid for example a youtuber got confronted with about 6 to 7 police officers just saying "i dont give a ****" like people have the right to say what they want to say

  After a recent trip I overheard one of, I'm assuming she was a new recruit, talking very ill of the department. She was saying it was rediculous that they don't get paid for training and they didn't know if they would even have a position in the department. I didn't catch her name but she mentioned that she moved from Florida for this job and "she better get a position" She also mentioned going to college to get a degree just to walk the boardwalk and make minimum wage. I don't know why she would be so adamant about getting a position if she feels she is so overqualified. It was a very distasteful showing of what your recruits deal with. As a patron of the boardwalk many times a year, I hope that these people protecting us make more than minimum wage and receive more training than "twirling batons" I don't know if these were the grumblings of a disgruntled employee or are indeed facts. It left a very uneasy feeling, and could be the reason why this department gets a bad reputation for over zealous police and the issue of officers looting during Sandy.

  Hello, on a recent visit to the boro of Seaside hts n.j. while strolling the boardwalk i noticed that the police walk together in packs of at least 4, sometimes up to 7 officers patrolling the boardwalk, i don't know how other people feel about this but i can tell you it had the feel of over policing, now i do realize that we need the police to walk the beat on the boards, however in packs of 4 through 7 officers is just to much, it is my opinion that the packs of officers would better serve us by walking alone or at the most 2 at a time, this way they could cover much more of the boardwalk and if here is any trouble they could surely call for back-up. (Just Saying) other than that i had a nice time visiting the boro of Seaside hts and i will return... Thank you for reading this post....
